Arriving in Wallaroo

Wallaroo will feature as a first-time port in South Australia during the 2019/20 cruise ship season and plans are all well under way. 

The Wallaroo visits by Vasco Da Gama through Cruise & Maritime Voyages Australia (CMV) will be on:

Saturday 7th December 2019 – cruise ship arrival in Wallaroo

arriving 8am & departing 8pm

Wednesday 18th December 2019 – cruise ship arrival in Wallaroo

Friday 3rd January 2020 – cruise ship arrival in Wallaroo

One visit has also already been confirmed for the season 2020/21

Wednesday 16th December 2020 (Coastal Experience); arriving 8am & departing 5pm

How can I or my business be involved with the cruise ship visit?

For all general enquiries and to make initial contact visit the Copper Coast Visitor Information Centre, located at 50 Mines Road, Kadina or phone 08 8821 2333.

 

Business or community group.  

Any businesses or community groups wishing to become involved with the cruise ship visits to Wallaroo during the 2019/20 cruise season should contact the Copper Coast Visitor Information Centre if they have tours that they would like sold through the VIC. Onshore Yorke Peninsula Tourism to register their interest.  Alternatively, you can complete an Expression of Interest Form online.

For any operators who want to see if their business is ready to be involved you can check by using the South Australian Tourism Commission's Cruise Ready Checklist.

 

Individual

Copper Coast Council is seeking expressions of interest from individuals and community groups to get involved and support the welcome of the visiting passengers. There will be many roles and opportunities available.

If you would like to be involved, click on the link below or come in the Copper Coast Visitor Information Centre and we can complete for you.

The first information session has been held. More sessions will be planned; dates are to be confirmed.

Once the information sessions have been held, induction sessions will commence for all registered volunteers.

There will be a variety of options to choose from to make the most of your visit to Wallaroo, the Copper Coast, Yorke Peninsula and the Clare Valley.
