Kadina (aboriginal meaning Lizard Plain) is the largest town in the Copper Coast and on the Yorke Peninsula.


Kadina and has a thriving commercial and retail centre. The population exceeds 5000 people and there is a wide variety of things to see and do. The town has recently undergone a major transformation with new roads and footpaths and a large area for parking with easy access to the main streets.

  • The Farm Shed Museum, a national trust museum, with something for everyone.
  • The mural on the water tower and on jewellers building wall in Graves Street
  • Victoria Square with a large playground, Walk in the Trees, an elevated adventure playground and the Apex Express train. Also the site for monthly Rotary Markets
  • Mini train running around grounds Copper Coast Visitor Centre on first and third Sunday month and coming soon…mini golf


  • Beaches, jetties and fishing at Wallaroo, Moonta Bay and Port Hughes
  • Historic National Heritage listed Moonta Mines.
  • Bike/walking trail connecting Kadina and Wallaroo along the old rail corridor.

Kadina has a caravan park, two motels, hotels with accommodation, villas and holiday homes. It is only a short drive to all the Copper Coast coastal towns of Moonta Bay, Port Hughes and Wallaroo.
